Located in Sitges, this project transformed a former home gym into a fully independent guest apartment.

The homeowners wanted to create a comfortable and private space for family and friends, complete with its own kitchen, bathroom, and separate entrance. The existing gym area offered the perfect opportunity, but the conversion required careful planning and structural adjustments.

A key priority was acoustic insulation. New partition walls were designed and built to ensure excellent soundproofing, providing privacy and comfort both for the main house and the new apartment.

The mezzanine level was transformed into a cosy bedroom featuring a large, decorative wooden bed that adds warmth and character to the space. Downstairs, the kitchen was designed around beautiful turquoise tiles, chosen to reflect the relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere that the owners associate with Sitges.

To maximise functionality without compromising space, the kitchen features an induction hob with an integrated extractor system. The living area includes a high-quality sofa bed, offering additional sleeping space for guests.

The bathroom was finished with elegant gold details and a walk-in shower, creating a refined yet inviting feel. As part of the renovation, all windows were replaced, and a new entrance door was installed to enhance both comfort and energy efficiency.

The result is a stylish, self-contained apartment that seamlessly blends practicality, privacy, and Mediterranean charm.
